For the answer to ‘How would British Labour govern the UK?’ I would imagine a good starting point would be to look at the one British country where Labour is in government - Wales.

The pragmatic moderation on display from Welsh Gov would neatly align with a Starmer-led Anglo-UK Gov but might chafe with a Scottish Labour Gov, should that ever come to pass.

I voted for Welsh Labour last year - I was happy with lockdown policy - but am having buyer's remorse! Specifically, I think that they've been in office for far, far too long. A small country like Wales is prone to chummy relationships between government and civil society and a quasi-permanent governing party exacerbates this. Just as the long period of Tory rule in the UK increases the need for a Labour government, the long period of Labour rule in Wales increases the need for a Tory government.

What a choice though. Less corruption and venality, plus a bit more redistribution, while denying the existence of biology or the right to voice opinions that the majority of people hold.
